    Available hospital beds - 1495
So how many of those beds are in the maternity ward? chemical dependency care?

Care to share a link to your source? Or are you still too lazy for such trivia?

"The state's COVID-19 positivity rate is 6.92% as of Wednesday, June 10; before Memorial Day, that number was 4.27%"

It's simple math to figure the percentage from the raw data dumbass. Tested 45,233 with 1826 positive is 4.036 percent. Your stupid is showing again.

Yes it is. And blake is absolutely incorrect. Testing positivity for a 7 day rate has not been at 11 since 4.16 and van be identified through limited testing and hotspot testing. It's been hovering around 6 percent since 4/25 and will increase somewhat as antibody tests increase.

Per texas positivity rate on the dashboard is txdshs.
I never said the 7 day rate was at 11%.

I see what the problem is now. You're re ed.

their mortality rate calculations are hilarious. they are dividing covid deaths by total population. that would assume the entire population is infected
Conservatives tend to suck at the kinds of critical thinking and numercy required not to make boneheaded mistakes. Of course that assumes they don't know better and are just trying a fancy lie. Given the levels of honesty I see in most "conservatives" I would have to guess the latter seems more likely.

From 5.27 to 6.11 daily new case average. 1564
From 5.27 to 6.11 daily tests average 28,600
During that time they had 2 days of 19k and 16k. Those two days had the largest amount of positivity, odd.

Use the data. Hotspot chasing has addressed this. You are not good with numbers

this week was memorial day jump, next week is the protest jump.
I think the critical care ICU beds are going to fill pretty quickly. The ICU beds are where people who need urgent intervention go.

The most recent utilization report I could find listed for 2016 showed 5396 total beds for Bexar county, with 64.5% occupied. 1917 beds four years ago, likely before a few were scaled back due to closures or consolidations, or even just more utilization for existing due to population growth.
    https://www.dshs.state.tx.us/chs/hosp/Utilization16.xls (line 60, H60 *O60)

Those 1917 beds include ALL beds of every kind, i.e. maternity etc, and is probably a bit lower in 2020. You can't really count a maternity ward bed as being "available" for a covid patient who needs a respirator, so you are probably looking at a pretty narrow slice of beds in the total that actually could be used appropriately. I doubt the "adult day-care" beds help either.

FWIW: here is the non-comprehensive list of bed types included in that total:

    https://dshs.texas.gov/chs/hosp/Forms/AHA16.pdf

So unless you have some specific data on which beds might be useful, talking about total beds is kind of ed. My guess is that the news source showing a small number of beds probably has that specific data.

    per the txdshs.maps.
    Available hospital beds - 1495
If that is your figure, you think that "sports medicine" beds are going to save people who need ICU beds and ventilators? maybe Full-field digital mammography beds?

Do tell. How many of your total are actually going to be useful here. Bull has been called.
