Texas counted antibody tests as virus tests until two weeks ago.
Knew that positivity rate sounded like bull when I heard Abbott boasting about it in his press conference for opening the state early in the month.

You understand what mixing those counts did, right?

It was over 10% in April.
I didn't ask about April. I asked about the last three weeks when testing doubled.

What do the numbers these past three weeks mean?

Should they have lowered more while the testing doubled?

What rate are you expecting in the future?

Come on, post your projections. Why are you withholding your science?

Kind of, but there's still posturing by different states during as how they are collecting, figuring, and releasing the data. Which again is why you look foolish because only now are you "catching" it.

    But....

You still think its valid and reliable for anything. Which is the ultimate irony.

Rate is independent of sample size. If anything, you'd expect rate to increase if you expanded testing to asymptomatic people.

hole Texas Supreme Court triggers outrage by denying mail-in ballots to at-risk voters:

    ‘Brazen and corrupt’

The decision triggered outrage immediately on social media, with some commenters noting that

the justices themselves issued this decision remotely to keep themselves safe.

Others noted that four of the justices themselves are up for re-election, and

thus their own candidacies stand to be affected by the ruling.

I think most already kind of know this due to the amount of asymptomatic people who don’t even know they have it. Problem is it lands a lot of people in the hospital, so if your areas hospitals aren’t great, you may be in trouble

"SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) Sherman and Denison made the New York Times over the weekend, in an article detailing cities with the highest daily growth number of COVID-19 positive cases, in the nation.

The article says Sherman and Denison are among the top leading metro cities across the country to have a e in positive cases within the last two weeks.

The New York Times reports that Sherman and Denison have a growth rate of 10%.

After reading the article, Grayson County Judge Bill Magers said the numbers are not community spread and the city has identified where the new positive cases came from.

"We're going to more positives in Grayson County, that's just the nature of the beast," Magers said.

"But because of our proactive health department, (and) because of the things we are doing with the state, we're following the governor’s protocols, I am not alarmed by these numbers. I'm disappointed, as everyone should be, but again we are working with these industries to identify these individuals and separate them from the community, so I think we're going to be just fine," Magers said.

The article continues to update and as of Tuesday, Sherman-Denison had the second highest rate of positive cases per day..."
