I'm comparing our current data to past data. Nothing wrong with that.

502 random San Antonians were tested for coronavirus.

    Here’s what health officials learned.

The results of the City of San Antonio’s door-to-door study that tested 502 people who presented no symptoms of the coronavirus are in.

    None of them tested positive

In May, officials said that around 75 percent of Bexar County jail inmates who tested positive for the virus were asymptomatic.

That is a link, not really an answer. I am trying to help you here.

Do you understand that deaths due to Covid in Texas is absolutely under-reported?

Depends on the reporting lag, and whether that data has appropriate cutoff, etc. Just had an hourlong conversation about this very thing.

I only saw chumpderp's quote because you replied to it.

    Is Texas really a disaster?

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/...s-us-by-state/
Texas stands at least 66 on that scale, higher than most states in the union, quite probably higher, giving us the 8th highest rate in the US, with one of the worst months ahead of us.

Add in this months deaths... and it will be much higher than that.

    (edit)

    (huge effort at patience)

You do understand that statistic will change over time, right?

Texas' testing and reporting become a void of uncertainty right before school and football start.

    This should make RG happy

"Nirenberg also confirmed 26 new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the death toll to 545. The new deaths were investigated between June 12 and Aug. 11"

    counting probables now

If our testing is so terrible we can't even verify whether a dead person had it what else are we supposed to do?

Don't want to hear any more about low death counts when most of these were happening on days where we knew about the 10-15 of people dying per day within the metro area.
