Not a peep from the fiscal hawks the, but now screaming to stop HEROES Act for Labor

How the Cares Act gave millions to energy companies with no strings attached

    As designed.

It's a two-tier bailout and you and me aren't on the top tier.

840K NEW unemployment applications last week

Obviously, the Repugs were LYING when they said $600/week was keeping ty-wage workers from returning to work.

"a study showed" that people getting $600 DID return to work.

    =============

"865,000 women dropped out of the U.S. workforce in September."

    ... speak for yourself, please

and what we see now is McConnell refusing to help the lower tier with HEROES Act

because it's not his source of funds.

He took care of his upper tier with CARES.

Want something to happen in Congress? pay up, many $Ms. Nothing happens unless Congress get paid.

The corruption is deep, wide, total, is unstoppable, beyond remediation. (including SCOTUS)

America is ed and un able.

We'll see if they have the Senate votes. Maybe they'll take advantage of some GOP senators being COVID-ed.

Proving that Moscow Mitch is the most powerful, most dangerous, most legally sadistic man in USA

McConnell says stimulus bill is 'unlikely in the next 3 weeks'

as Trump insists 'negotiations are moving along'

    https://theweek.com/speedreads/94285...e-moving-along

BigFinance spending $10Ms to re-purchase Mitch's re-election, and also enough Repug Senators to kneecap a Dem Pres and Dem House, just a McC has blocked 400+ Dem bills in 2019/20.

I doubt the Dems cave even to 1.8 because no way mitch puts it through without the liability protections

Dems already removed nearly $1T from HEROES that was intended for state, muni budgets, PPE

Mitch already said he ain't approving ANYTHING from the Dems.

1.3 million people filed initial unemployment insurance claims last weekIt is terrible economics to pause stimulus talks

Another 1.3 million people applied for unemployment insurance (UI) benefits last week.

That includes 840,000 people who applied for regular state UI and

464,000 who applied for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA).

PUA is the federal program for workers who are not eligible for regular unemployment insurance, like gig workers.

It provides up to 39 weeks of benefits, but it is set to expire at the end of this year.

Survey: 60 million Americans think someone in their household will lose income in the next four weeks:

Either they will lose a job or take a cut in pay, they say.

That scary number is down from the 62.3 million who thought the same in the

Census Bureau’s previous Household Pulse Survey a month ago.

The latest survey found that more than 27% of Americans aged 25 to 54—

which labor experts consider the prime working years—

expect either themselves or someone they live with will lose income during October.

The pandemic is hitting households of people of color especially hard financially.

For-profit healthcare by Capitalists is a heavenly utopia.

Thousands of Bay Area seniors left scrambling as financial woes strike Medicare Advantage plan

Hospitals in Santa Clara County are terminating their agreements with Vitality, leaving seniors insured through the company in the lurch

A Southern California insurance company’s financial woes are sending thousands of seniors in Santa Clara and San Joaquin counties scrambling for health care coverage amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The main issue is Vitality’s dire financial situation.

The company is required to maintain what’s called tangible net equity — basically a few million dollars in financial reserves.

Yet, as of this summer, according to the Department of Managed Health Care, the company had negative working capital and owed more than $15 million in unpaid provider claims and payments. That figure is now roughly $17 million

a number of local hospitals and surgery centers ... have terminated or announced plans to terminate their agreements with Vitality. That means plan members can’t go to the facilities for non-emergency care

    https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/10/11/thousands-of-local-seniors-left-scrambling-as-financial-woes-strike-medicare-advantage-plan/

Medicare Advantage was, is a Repug/Capitalism's strategy to privatize Medicare, with taxpayers paying Medicare Advantage companies 10% more, $100Bs more, then non-Advantage Medicare for the same health care.

Will Repugs bailout Vitality? or let Capitalism over seniors?

The GOP Is Sabotaging Trump’s Economy a Month Before Election Day.

    Here’s Why.

The most plausible explanation for this state of affairs is this:

Most Senate Republicans face no great risk of losing their seats to a Democrat this year or any other.

For them, the main threat to their power is a primary challenge.

And right now, conservative media has turned opposition to fiscal aid into a cause célèbre,

casting support for “blue-state bailouts” as treasonous.

to pass a Pelosi-friendly stimulus deal out of the Senate,

McConnell would have to bring a bill to the floor that a majority of his caucus would vote against.

This would imperil his leadership. And so he is not going to do it.

    The problem is also that

the Senate’s bias deforms the GOP by enabling it to ignore public opinion —

and utterly betray the material interests of its own voters —

without ever putting itself out of contention for federal power.

a Senate GOP that can sabotage the economy a month before Election Day and

still retain a shot at retaining power.

That is a problem for the Democratic Party.

But it’s also a problem for the American polity — one that will cost many Americans their businesses, jobs, homes, and lives in the weeks to come.

it's NOTHING BUT politics. An oligarchy/Repug politics that doesn't GAF about anything but themselves, which excludes the rest of the country. The oligarchy has pocketed $100Bs in 2020,

so the rest of the country is irrelevant, invisible to them.

They simply don't care about citizens, absolutely don't care about governing
