Dude, you moved from CA to SC. CA is locked down like a MF. How is that working out?

    i moved to VA

i brought up california in an earlier post on this topic. CA's lockdown was incredibly effective. they ed up when newsom caved to pressure and started re-opening without safer guidelines and cases immediately shot up

but hey, SC has more cases and deaths per capita than CA does

There's no vaccine. Things have to get bad before they get better.

That's why the most hammered states in April look good now.

Do you think that was caused by policy? Nope. They've got near herd immunity now because so many people got it.
I still remember you ing the football like this in mid May during the early days of the Balous Miller Recovery.

My bad. I thought Charlottesville was in SC for some reason.

I know multiple people moving out of the LA area. You made a wise decision.

would have stayed if i could. nothing against charlottesville, but all my family and most of my good friends are in LA, and that's a lot of people. the food is also better. the weather is better.

cost of living is a big issue, but Mrs. Spurraider is on her way to an MD, so that's the plan

in the meantime on one income while juggling tuition, the low cost of living has been a welcome element

The climate and lifestyle along the CA coast make it worth the cost of living. Makes no sense to live in Chucholand so I understand why he wants out.

My sister and her husband, both doctors, live in the bay area. They are moving to Austin.

I think you made a good choice.

good for them. i have no issue with people moving to where they want to live. good on your sister for moving closer to her family. it's what we want to do in a few years, too

I think you made a good choice.
i think you are misunderstanding. we didnt leave LA because we were unhappy with it.

I didn't recognize the face either. It's been 35 years since I lived in SA.

I think I've been to Bill Miller's like, three times ever.

Define "excess death rate" from your current understanding.

So no years have excess deaths until now?

Seems like a convenient theory basis
    Not really a definition.

It's almost like you don't know what that is. Had to go back a few days to find this. maybe you found it since then. Not holding my breath.
    [crickets]

So, you have no idea how it is defined. You just know it has nothing to do with COVID, because... reasons

    By definition, pretty much zero.

Multiyear moving averages do not tend to change much between years, which is why they are useful in detecting new trends.

Define "excess death rate" from your current understanding.

I see you conveniently omitted the smoking gun... I added it for you.

You claiming there were zero excess deaths prior to 2020. SR21 posts a graph that shows there were excess deaths in January of 2019. Now you're telling me I don't know what excess deaths means.
