worldometer showing over 1800 deaths in the US today, so far, by far the highest we've seen.

of course, there are all kinds of issues with the actual reporting figures, since worldometer scours other sources for their case/death/recovery tallies... there isn't some uniform reporting being done from around the country. for instance, worldometer is showing 731 deaths in NY today, which Cuomo said was actually yesterday's figure, so clearly worldometer isn't necessarily current.

right, you can't really account for daily fluctuation. look at the 3-day moving average. and in both Spain and Italy, as they were approaching what they thought were their peaks, ended up ing again. the good news is this next one might be the last e. The bad news is there's a huge backlog in NYC/NJ and that last e will set the flagpost on a daily basis, for many weeks. 1k/day for them alone for 30 days is crazy to think about but that's the period they are entering.

true, but its noteworthy that the previous "peak" was on april 4 with 1330, then a reported 1165 and 1255 on sunday (questionable reporting on sundays, generally) and monday, respectively, before ing up to 1800+ today

yep, look at the Italian and Spanish trends, same thing happened. the es happen after 3-5 day lulls until peaking.
