I did as well..
Timmy getting choked up is enough to make grown men cry
I did as well..
It’s unbelievable to think that between Tim and Kobe, they have ten championships playing in the same era.
From 1999 through 2014, there were only 6 different NBA champions over 16 years.
Spurs (5)
Lakers (5)
Miami (3)
Pistons (1)
Celtics (1)
Mavericks (1)
That's just bonkers.
Since then, the Warriors and Cavs had to have their 5-year run which made the Finals pretty predictable for a while. I'd like to think there is more parity now with both conferences seeming pretty wide-open...but would not be surprised to see the Lakers in the Finals again. We should see a new team from the East, at least.
that 73-72 final score
If I could go back in time on some of those I'd say "don't do that Tim", lucky he wasn't injured.
the mystery of the bad gatorade solved
either someone's PEDs were in there timmy didn't want, or it didn't have the PEDs in there timmy expected
that's executive privilege
I cried like a baby!
That's crazy when you think about it.
Brought up before but is Duncan one of if not the biggest "What if" in regards to the NBA Landscape? A no question first ballot HOFer - 19 year career - 5x Champion - 2x MVP - Greatest PF ever; and did all of this without touching a basketball until the age of 14 due to very tragic cir stances involving his mom's death and a hurricane that hit his island ending his passion for swimming.
One of those "what if Kal-El's ship crash landed in Russia instead" questions...

The fanbases feuded but they had mutual respect and admiration. Hopefully in the end the fans can to.
Parity is difficult with all of this player collusion going on today. Gone are the days of great all-time players like Tim Duncan, wanting to compete with other all-time great players in same era.. Now it is all about what superstar is your buddy? And why aren’t you playing with them? Honestly it’s at the point where I want to stop watching basketball.. Let’s hope Brooklyn gets their asses whooped in the playoffs.
When he mentioned during his speech first picking up a basketball at 14 years old, it really hit me how amazing it is that just 9 years later he was dominating in the NBA finals. Handily winning his first NBA championship, and the finals MVP. What an amazing journey.
Duncan and Rudy T's speeches were the best out of the bunch.

He is my favorite athlete of all time. He just did everything right. Everything.
Happy for Timmy. He deserves all the good things this life has to offer. It has been an absolute pleasure growing up watching him play. Glad I got to be apart of it in some small way.
I agree with these comments. Tim is such a wonderful person. We have been blessed with wonderful people, and coaches. They teach us lessons beyond basketball, and for that, we cannot thank them enough. THANK YOU TIM, AND THANK YOU SPURS
The loyalty among the team is what stands out for me. No fighting among teammates. The big three in particular they stuck together. They were determined to win as many championships as possible together. That just doesn’t happen anymore.
