Dems love these issues because often it's about the only thing that appeals to their uninformed voter, of which they have many.
The balancing act for them is that if the anarchy subsists too long, they then start to galvanize apoplectic voters on the other side.
Pre plandemic, Minnesota was looking dangerously red. Dems need all the downturn they can get.
Honestly, I don't think Minnesota looked dangerously red at any time in the past 4+ years. But, I also don't think this helps either party. Way more to lose here than to win, on both sides.
It wasn't far from a Trump win in 2016. They've been pushing that way for the last decade. I would've called Minnesota for Trump pre plandemic.

Poor turnout & Shillary was really disliked. I mean, that state voted for Bernie and Rubio in the primaries that year.
Despite how much I dislike Biden, I doubt he'll have any trouble carrying it. He beat Bernie handily there this year.
