Trump Blasts ‘Anti-Trump People’ at Fox After Cavuto Hydroxychloroquine Pushback: ‘Looking for a New Outlet!’

Fox News’ Neil Cavuto was incredibly stunned and took a few minutes to warn viewers about the side effects.

Those who took it, in a vulnerable population, including those with respiratory or other conditions, they died.

I want to stress again — they died.

If you are in a risky population here and you are taking this as a preventative treatment to ward off the virus or,

in a worst-case scenario, you are dealing with the virus, and you are in this vulnerable population,

    it will kill you.

I cannot stress that enough. This will kill you,” he said.

OMG. Just don't take it then. Tylenol is risky for some people, too.

Doesn't drumpf meet the definition of "at risk group"?

Do you understand that they do trials for prophylaxis?

I honesty don't get the anxiety the left feels towards a drug like this. Tom Hanks and his wife used it and weren't even in the States. Whether or not it's the bee's knees, it's just a drug. Some here hope like it doesn't work. November could be really cruel to some of you.
Well, the worst that could happen is death. Although most of the toxicity concerns with hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine come with long term use, you do see abnormal heart arrhythmias in a significant number of patients. You're also potentially fostering hoarding and stockpiling behaviors that will create a shortage for patients already established on the drug. I don't see why you would push it when the data shows in vitro activity, while the vast majority of studies show no increase in viral clearance and no symptomatic benefit.

That you really don't understand the point of trials
What do you think trials are for and why do they select certain candidates as treatments/prophylaxis?

I'm not anticipating a thoughtful response.

Information for Clinicians on Investigational Therapeutics for Patients with COVID-19

    Updated April 25, 2020

There are no drugs or other therapeutics presently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to prevent or treat COVID-19.

    Current clinical management includes
    infection prevention and
    control measures and
    supportive care,
    including supplemental oxygen and
    mechanical ventilatory support when indicated.

The National Ins utes of Health have published interim guidelines for the medical management of COVID-19 prepared by the COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel.

These guidelines contain information about investigational therapeutics and will be updated as new information emerges and drugs and other therapeutic interventions are approved for use by FDA.

CDC website drops guidance, anecdotal data on Trump-backed hydroxychloroquine as COVID-19 treatment

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has abruptly switched its guidance for use of a drug touted by President Donald Trump as a possible treatment for COVID-19,

    dropping
its reference to anecdotal dosages to say simply that

there are no approved drugs for dealing with the disease.

New Test Indicates Hydroxychloroquine Causes Delusions

WASHINGTON — A new test of the drug hydroxychloroquine suggests that it may cause delusions, Dr. Anthony Fauci warned on Monday.

In a conference call with reporters, Fauci indicated that his

findings were based on a preliminary test involving one white male subject in his seventies.

“It’s too early to be definitive about this, but the evidence suggests that,

if you are already prone to

    delusions,

    paranoid fantasies, and

    a generalized detachment from reality,

taking hydroxychloroquine may only make those symptoms worse,”

    he said.

    Who are you asking?

Just because someone takes the other side of an argument doesn't mean they are defending a person. The argument itself exists regardless of the person.

Cheney’s former cardiologist estimates Trump’s chances of dying if he catches the coronavirus

said that President Donald Trump was vulnerable to dying from COVID-19 if he managed to contract it.

said that if Trump really has been taking unproven COVID-19 treatment hydroxychloroquine,

it’s likely because he knows that he’s at risk of severe health repercussions should he contract the disease.

he probably has a 15 to 20 percent chance of dying of this virus should he contract it.”

Even if he was telling the truth, which he most definitely is not, it's like taking advil to prevent a headache from a car accident that hasn't happened yet. No medicine prevents you from getting a virus, and he's tested enough that it will be caught early enough for remdesivir.

I'm drinking whiskey to prevent coronavirus symptoms.

    It's working just as well.
I've been told what you're drinking should be as strong as your hand sanitizer. I've had moonshine and Brut de Fût Cognac that strong, but perhaps a steady stream of regular proof whiskey works just as well for COVID-19.

What do you have to lose?
