Dragged the 2003 Spurs to a chip.. They had no business winning..

Dragged the 2003 Spurs to a chip.. They had no business winning..
Carried by Stephen Jackson tbh
Found Stephen Jackson's burner account
lolllll
Don't know how Timmy did that in 2003 tbh...
At that point it was him and a bunch of role players, peak TD right there and maybe the most underrated individual run ever
All the guys had their moments tbh, even huge ones, but DRob wasn't close to his 99 self and TP-Bruce-Manu were definitely not what they would become later
Yeah you are right man..
I don't know who the F could lead that Spurs to Championship...MJ Perhaps? Not others I guess
Underrated Run because Lakers were out of the playoffs, and Nets were not a sexy finals opponent..
Sadly the finals got ignored..
Actually Nets has really good D
Timmy has tons of 30+ games in the series VS Lakers and Mavs
But was limited to 24ppg only in Finals
That's Insane
Similar to Manu in 05 and TP in 07 (although he still got FMVP), people kinda forget how good they've been in the biggest stage in their primes
But Timmy was a monster all playoffs, like historically great, it's just that he was so steady and played for what was universally recognized as a boring small market team and so he never gets the credit he deserves for it
He was an absolute monster that year and in those finals. Looked like Hakeem in the mid 90's.
How many players could have dragged that roster to a ring? You know LBJ couldn't. Maybe MJ or peak Hakeem? Maybe 2000 Shaq? This was legitimately one of the craziest feats in sports history. 2nd-leading scorer on the team was 20-YO TP and he was borderline unplayable in the postseason and got benched for stretches for Speedy Claxton. MALIK was 4th in scoring.
The Numbers Duncan put up that postseason just insane.. First 4 games of the WCF against the Mavs
40/15 in a loss.
32/15 in a Win
34/24 in a Win
21/20 in a Win
That's 32/19 with the Spurs now up 3-1. That is just sick..
Not to mention that he averaged 35 and 18 against Dirk before he got injured.
Remove the #1 player from every championship team, and this was the worst team of all NBA champions, yes some luck was involved (Dirk's injury, Horry's rimmed out three), but this team really wasn't championship caliber.

Highest win share in a single post season ever!
When will be Tim's HoF induction ceremony? I assume it's been delayed due to covid.
They pushed this year's ceremony back to April 2021.
the dallas highlights are the funniest... they look so helpless
Not many could lead that squad to a le in 2003..
Maybe Bird or Magic.. Jordan.. Prime Kareem or Wilt maybe as well.. But TD 2003 was a rare season.. GOAT Type season..
totally forgot dirk got hurt. mavs might've chipped that year if he didn't tbh. they definitely would've beaten the nets.
Even in the 3 games Dirk played, TD averaged 35 and 18 against him.
Good question. I thought I saw it scheduled at one point. It could have been moved or it might be a remote ceremony. I don't want to miss it.
i think it was delayed as well.
