It's the D (the old Fitzgerald's) and where do you think Fremont Street is, derp -- the suburbs?
That's Four Queens Casino. It's part of the Fremont District (off The Strip), not downtown.
It's the D (the old Fitzgerald's) and where do you think Fremont Street is, derp -- the suburbs?
Yea, it could be the D. They both have the similar entrance and the long bar. They're both part of what the locals call Fremont Street. It's off the literal Fremont Street.
Nobody is calling that area downtown. Nobody calls The Strip downtown for that matter. They just call it The Strip.
Nobody calls the strip downtown because it isn't downtown. They call Fremont Street downtown because Fremont Street is located downtown.
Marketers have coined the term Downtown Fremont. It's not downtown Vegas. Not sorry.
From the D's front page:
THE D LAS VEGAS

derp's unforced own goals.
what do you say is downtown Vegas? Choose your hill to die on.
Well, Google maps is calling that Downtown Vegas. I've never heard anyone call it that. Everyone in town calls it Downtown Fremont or just Fremont.
People call it downtown or Fremont. No one has ever called it "Downtown Fremont." That's in California.
Bruh, I've been there about fifty times in the last five years. I know what they call it.
you didn't even know it was downtown.
What is wrong with you?
Cos I told you virtually nobody calls it that. But you're technically right; so enjoy your huge tiny w.
Yes, everybody says "Downtown Fremont" because no one would ever know what anyone was talking about if they just said "downtown" or "Fremont." Or maybe they like the formality of it all.
the hills you choose to die on
I told you that people call it downtown fremont or just fremont. Why are you desperately trying to alter what I've said?
Geez, huge tiny w's aren't enough for you. You have to try and go on another L spree.
derp, you started all this trying to say the Fremont District isn't downtown.
You were wrong.
Just live with that L and quit making it worse for yourself by whining about your unforced error.
I've already conceded that tiny w to you. Now you're trying to tell me what the locals / tourists in Vegas call it. When was the last time you were even there?
Have you gone?
No...I haven't been anywhere that has one. We went to Choctaw when we were coming back from Arkansas at the end of March but that's the last time.
I went to Vegas 2 weeks ago. Harrah's here has been open for months now and I've been several times. I also went to a couple casinos in Biloxi a couple months ago.
I can see going to one of the more open casinos (not "Downtown Fremont") in off hours but that is sad gambling time. any table games at this point.
Came home from Boise a few weeks ago and hit a few slot rooms on the way back thru Reno.
I would think something like hold`em would be better during coronavirus, because your mask can sort of hide your smirk when you get dealt pocket aces or river a full boat.
I visited Vegas a week ago haha. Stayed near Fremont - Golden Nugget. Visited the pool. Everything was mask on even dipping in the water. I put mask above my head. ~ $50 Margarita. I had it and was worth
Visited Westgate. Won a bunch there. Plaza the same. Bet big Raiders, Braves, Lightening and Seahawks. Also playing Blackjack at a few tables.
