    Is a hall of famer.

    Just sayin.

(I know, random, but I randomly just found a pic of my buddy and I in Vegas with Pete at a card shop signing. He looked so sad. Dude didn't deserve to be black balled because of some betting. MJ and Barkley, among many others like to gamble, along with pretty much all of us, so wtf let him in already and stop this madness.)

He gambled on games he managed, didn't he? Zero tolerance for betting on baseball after the 1919 World Series scandal is justified IMO. Now Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Sosa should all be in the HOF since steroid use was basically encouraged in the era. Especially ridiculous is Bud Selig being in the HOF after allowing steroid use since as owner of the Brewers he made a lot of money off all the hype the steroid era created among casuals tuning into the home run derbys of the era.

Never understood why non players get to make it there. Specially front office gots whose jobs is to line their own pockets.

Pete and Schmidt were before my time

There is a generation of fans that believe he is GOAT discussion

His MLB crime was rare compared to entire Steroid Era and is considered even more taboo today. He's recovered his life off the field. I'm rooting for him but don't see it.

Selig allowed that and watched a ton of hallowed records fall to put a lot of money in his pocket as an owner, and he's in.

He created that playing field. If you're going to deny Bonds, McGwire, Clemens, etc you should probably just scrub the entire era from the record books.

I don't mind putting asterisks. Though really, steroids were in use long before that.

Let's see if Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, McGuire, etc. are actually put into the HOF. Let's see if the cheaters are really allowed in before we start crying too hard for Rose.
I would say that Rose "deserves" to be in ahead of them in the respect that he wasn't directly cheating against baseball.

Carol Rose: Pete still 'high stakes gambler'

Pete Rose's estranged wife, Carol, insists the Hit King and former Big Red Machine great remains a "high stakes gambler" who has significant debts with casinos and the IRS and fails to pay support on time, according to do ents reported Monday by TMZ and reviewed by USA TODAY Sports.
Carol Rose married Pete in 1984. A divorce case began in 2011, according to do ents, and the two are still married despite their separation. Pete and girlfriend Kiana Kim got engaged in 2011.

Carol Rose claims the Reds Hall of Famer makes more than $1 million per year, mostly from endorsements and autograph signings. She asked the court to clarify his financial situation to finalize a settlement.

Poor Pete looks pretty happy here.

Getting paid for a TLC reality show.

FOH with his whining about the HOF.

If the Doyers get a WS ring out of this * then Pete Rose should get in the HOF... twice.

I think he'll get in posthumously. And that's only because there is no evidence of him betting against his team.

It's such a dumb grudge they have against him. He's so clearly a HOFer among the rest of them. yet he remains in exile inexplicably.

Would be a great ambassador to the sport, especially for young kids learning a swing.

    ...and for DraftKings
