You know they count anyone who drives within three blocks of a hospital or googles "kung flu" on their phones YOU CAN'T PROVE I'M WRONG.
Seems as they did. Anyone going to get a test at urgent care is a hospitalization

    Falsified data.. overturned..
The state’s count, which only includes confirmed cases, now shows more than 17,000 COVID-19 cases for Bexar County, while Bexar County’s local count shows more than 21,000 cases, combining confirmed and probable cases.

While DSHS has now omitted probable cases from the dashboard, the state health department established the guidelines for determining a probable case which includes individuals who have not had a positive PCR test for COVID-19, but who meet two of the following three criteria:

A positive quick-result antigen testExperiencing COVID-19 symptomsClose contact with a confirmed positive COVID-19 case

Looks like science wins this one

SAN ANTONIO – As state officials updated the Texas Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19 dashboard on Wednesday, they included a note about Bexar County’s case count.

“The San Antonio Metro Health District has clarified its reporting to separate confirmed and probable cases, so the Bexar County and statewide totals have been updated to remove 3,484 probable cases. The local case count previously included probable cases identified by antigen testing but not those from antibody testing or other sources.”

University hospital is trying to put together 50 new beds to act as ICU level
they are playing the god game by shuffling people back-and-forth between ICU and regular beds
they are getting better at keeping people alive, But they are having to keep too many people alive at one time.

Why Texas’ health department removed thousands of COVID-19 cases from Bexar County’s tally

Probable cases not included in state dashboard

“The San Antonio Metro Health District has clarified its reporting to separate confirmed and probable cases,

so the Bexar County and statewide totals have been updated to remove 3,484 probable cases.

The local case count previously included probable cases identified by antigen testing

    while
Bexar County’s local count shows more than 21,000 cases, combining confirmed and probable cases.

In San Antonio, probable case counts specifically include symptomatic individuals who had a positive antigen test.

“Antigen tests are FDA approved, and positive tests are highly accurate.

San Antonio is one of only three Texas cities collecting and reporting this data per the CDC guidelines,

but the State of Texas wants apples-to-apples comparisons between Texas cities.”

health experts have said probable cases are an accurate way to determine the spread of the virus.

“This is a disagreement over what should be reported in total counts.

Those count as ICU beds. Hospitals are doing fine, running at normal capacity.

I have no problem with them counting probables.

I only wish that they would similarly count probable recoveries.

The dashboard for San Antonio zip codes shows ulative cases, and not active cases, as far as I can tell. And they need to improve scaling on these maps. Knowing a zip code has 300+ ulative cases is not very useful.

Welp this is just a cluster . Also can't wait for the wave of homelessness coming that could very well lead to riots in the streets that make what we saw in Minneapolis look like child's play.

With the stats being published about how many people aren't making their rent and mortgage payments, the choice is likely either the federal government bails out renters and homeowners paying mortgages or we have the kind of social unrest that topples governments. It really feels like this nation is teetering on a knife edge right now between the pandemic and the depression.

If 30% of the country is kicked out of their homes and apartments what do you think people are going to do? With the federal pandemic unemployment ending in what a week and the eviction moratoriums being lifted I think it's a very real possibility.
