This is nothing more than a marketing gimmick by a company to get attention that might lead to a a short term boost to sales. No one ITT was even thinking about Aunt Jemima syrup and now you all are.
Hopefully the inevitable conservative boycott of PepsiCo products will work better than the Keurig boycott, Nike boycott and Netflix boycott did

1. Aunt Jemima (and Log Cabin) aren't maple syrup. They're high fructose corn syrup with artificial maple flavor.
2. I don't buy any of that stuff. It's oversweet, gross, and sickly unhealthy.
