Allowing police to riot freely and trample the rights of the people can be very expensive. I'm all for taking the municipal liability tab out of police budgets, there's far too little accountability for arbitrary arrest and police violence.

That's a misconception, a lot of people from last summer were punished, some still face adjudication.
The same will be true for Trump's sedition riot.
