I'm disappointed they are still letting umpires back there behind the box. They make so many mistakes. Might as well be safe and make it K-zone

Braves comeback down to final strike on Ozuna solo homer off Met's Diaz

Marcell Ozuna is the first Braves player with a game-tying or game-winning homer with the team down to its final strike since Brian Jordan’s walk off grand slam off John Franco on September 29, 2001

Dropping games to the Orioles. Pathetic.

But the good news is that every other team did as well so it's basically 0-0 still.

Two MLB games postponed after Marlins' coronavirus outbreak

    https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...rlins-outbreak

On Sunday, four Marlins players tested positive for the coronavirus (now 14 positive tests on Monday), including that day's starting pitcher, Jose Urena, according to sources familiar with the situation, leading the team to delay its postgame trip home amid concerns about a possible outbreak.

Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez confirms he's dealing with heart issue stemming from COVID-19 infection

Earlier this week, the Boston Red Sox shut down left-handed pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez's throwing program after discovering health complications stemming from his bout with COVID-19. On Sunday, Rodriguez confirmed a report from WEEI's Rob Bradford that his "complication" is myocarditis, or "an inflammation of the heart muscle," per the Mayo Clinic.

Rodriguez, 27, told reporters he was "still scared" about the condition after learning more about it in recent days, but that he doesn't intend to opt out of playing at some point this season.

    Damn, this sucks.

For multiple reasons but he's actually one of the Sox's best pitchers.

More games postponed as more teams test positive for COVID.

I'm starting to think good old Manfred will have to see dead players before he pulls the plug.

    Unofficial poll:

Of all the extra inning games i have only seen one manager have the 1st batter sacifice the runner at 2b over to 3b.
And that was in the 11th inning. And it was a game i had to have for my f ing parlay to hit. Tampa Bay pusses out to Baltimore. 5-4.

Seems to me sacrificing the runner over would be a go to move at the very least 50% of the time. Unless your batter has zero bunting skills.

On brand with what the Mets represent not only in the state but the entire league. A laughingstock.
