Wear a ing mask
Tomorrow I'm free to live my post pandemic life. CDC says 2 weeks post J&J but I added a week for good measure. I'll keep wearing a mask in most public indoor places until every adult who wants the vaccine has an opportunity to get one. So about another 6 weeks I'd guess. Not in purely voluntary places like my gym obviously.
Sorry you're scared to get vaccinated before the little children do but that's your choice. Good luck hiding for another year. This summer you can watch the world go by from behind your window.
(possible) good news on P1

Snake Boy be like "CDC says" now.
I'd trust Biden's CDC way more than Trump's CDC too.
Sure, I guess.
I think Wallensky just overstated the benefits of vaccination. I also think the CDC is underplaying the importance of good ventilation in schools. The 3 foot guidance feels wonky too, tbh.
it's an unstated reality of the situation that human health takes a back seat to restoring anticipated income to owners. I think the CDC still reflects that, jmo.
get those kids back to school
Agreed, but it's a low bar to clear.
finally got an appointment for dose 1 of moderna this coming wednesday
edit: that one was an hour drive out, i was able to make the appointment myself online. literally hours later i got an email from the official virginia pre-registration service and i was able to get an more local appointment on the same day, for pfizer

No masks required.

Wear a ing mask
Looks like the pfizer immunity lasts only 6 months. No word on it being efficient vs p1 or south african variant
The JJ one seems to be apparently. Seems JJ is taking the lead as winning vaccine

what?
If TX schools need better ventilation, then that investment won't happen
Part of the CARES Act was meant for public schools, which in TX schools haven't seen a penny of it.
$18B in the current stimulus act is meant for public schools, which in TX public schools won't see a penny of it.
What bag TX Repugs stealing Federal funds from public school exemplifies perfectly why hole Repug states want Federal Medicare/Medicaid disbursements to the states to be block grants, with no strings attached.
only 6 months?
at LEAST 6 months. They only have so much data.
And effective against SA variant
