Thanks. Gotta get these old people the shot. They are primarily the ones dying alone with this disease.
I'm more than happy to wait until summer or fall for mine.
One I did not even think about.
Age distribution. They have a very young population compared to us.

Well thats got to be a load off you.
Good job.
Glad to hear, gotta be a weight off your mind to not have to compete for a slot for her now.
It's a major relief. The process they have right now really sucks. Hope it gets better.
For now, just gotta survive this ed up ice storm coming our way.
I just know we're going to get ty sleet instead of fun-ass snow on Monday too.
This city it always ed when we have rain and then a freeze. Stay off the overpasses.
The only time I remember legit snow in SA was 1985.
That was awesome in 85, but we had about 3 - 3.5 inches two or three years ago in December too. Enough that I was having snowball fights with the neighbors and teaching my next door neighbor's daughters how to make snow angels (and immediately regretting it when the stuff melted on my back )
my state down here just announce a fkn 5 days hard lockdown due to spread of the new strain ccp virus...what a crock of , this is what happens when the stupid govt fed/state allows international return/arrivals flights and stupid international sporting events to occur at the expense of the general population...

One dose of the Pfizer vaccine is reportedly 93% effective, it’s recommended that the protocol be switched to one dose. Could be a game changer.
Excellent news!
I usually prefer two shots.
Good news tho. Thanks for that
I think SARS-CoV-2 will be another one once the population isn't naive to it anymore
Humidity is inversely correlated with COVID-19 transmissibility. We also know masking mitigates viral load, which has been correlated with disease severity. Because masking hydrates the respiratory tract and promotes mucociliary clearance of pathogens from the lungs, masking may have therapeutic value post-infection as well.

Reports of Anaphylaxis After Receipt of mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines in the US—December 14, 2020-January 18, 2021
Continued safety monitoring of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines in the US has confirmed that anaphylaxis following vaccination is a rare event, with rates of 4.7 cases/million Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses administered and 2.5 cases/million Moderna vaccine doses administered, based on information through January 18, 2021. When considered in the context of morbidity and mortality from COVID-19,the benefits of vaccination far outweigh the risk of anaphylaxis, which is treatable. Because of the acute, life-threatening nature of anaphylaxis, immediate epinephrine administration is indicated for all cases.
Scarcity of niche biotech ingredients
Lipid nanoparticles for RNA vaccines were used in small quan ies a year ago.
Now Pfizer and Moderna can’t get enough.

The COVID-19 vaccines are proving incredibly effective.
Here's why experts are downplaying the success.
getting the first dose reduced the risk of hospitalization by up to 85 percent and 94 percent, respectively, after four weeks —
even as a new, more transmissible variant became dominant.
Still, the message a lot of people hear about the vaccines, ... is that
"the coronavirus vaccines aren't 100 percent effective.
Vaccinated people may still be contagious.
And the virus variants may make everything worse. ...
The vaccine is not a get-out-of-COVID-free card!"
That type of "vaccine alarmism" ...
feeding the sizable share of Americans who say they would turn down a vaccine "partly because it sounds so ineffectual."

Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot COVID-19 vaccine appears to provide more protection against worrisome virus variants than the drug giant initially reported,
according to new trial data released in advance of a Friday advisory panel meeting on whether to recommend the vaccine as the third cleared for emergency use in the US.
Company briefing do ents posted on the Food and Drug Administration website Wednesday indicate
the vaccine was 68 percent effective at preventing moderate to severe disease caused by the dominant variant in Brazil and
64 percent effective against the dominant variant in South Africa.
