What do they do for people who have immunity from natural infection?

    Why are these people ignored?
They can get vaccinated for no cost

You wouldn't have read it if it wasn't paywalled, dumb Darrin. Hurt fee-fees make you yelp like a dog.

Everything I’ve read has said having had Covid provides far superior protection then a vaccine.

They're ready to rail against nonexistent shutdown orders.

Darrin's antivax after getting vaxxed the second he could do it and brag about it.

    I'm not antvax.

I agree with winehole that you can dramatically reduce viral load with gargles and nasopharyngeal cleansing.

We never had a lockdown in the US-- a real cordon sanitaire and quarantine enforced by police.

We just had guidelines and recommendations. The rather minor sacrifice of masking and social distancing was too much for libertarian he-men, even though it was totally optional and unenforced.

By the time we realized it was here, it was too late.

Our government was incompetent. Others did better with less resources.

Would be awesome if we were a small island instead of the most popular destination.

It doesn't really matter if the discussion hinges on "how much money companies are losing!?!?!?"

For a long while it certainly looked like it didn't matter how many American lives should be offered to the altar of the fabled economy.

Still looks like that, tbh. The "return to normal" narrative is strong:

I think the onus right now has been to get reluctant people vaccinated. It's the right goal.

Also looks like companies are starting to mandate to get the jab if you plan to get back to the office. I think that's sound as well.

that public health policy in the US falls to employers is perverse, but it might be the only effective policy at this point.

    sad!

That's our broken health system, but that existed before COVID. It's wrong and bad, but not new.

nearly 2/3 of Americans support mandated vax.

If there is ever a mandate, who polices? what's the punishment?
