At this point all he has to do is last till November, tbh
For what?
Obviously to win the election... moving Kamala to the top of the ticket now would be pretty terrible, tbh... I know even a half-braindead Biden can beat him, but that was a risky play by the Dems...
Dat utter denial
Enjoy the landslide
It's painful watching this guy try to string together sentences.
He sounds like an older, male version of Sarah Palin in this clip.
Wouldn’t that make Republicans like him? 12 years ago y’all worshipped her. Is she another Republican who Republicans now pretend to hate?
I never met anyone who liked Sarah Palin. That whole ticket was ty on the right. A half committed Republican and a bubble headed arm candy for John.. what a show.
I had no problem understanding what Joe was saying. Normal people don't talk in prepared statements. Normal people speak more like that.
Of course you won't believe it, but I was never a fan of the woman and couldn't believe that he actually chose her.(unproven and relatively unknown) In his defense, he needed a miracle to defeat Obama after W led us into a senseless war and helped kill the economy. So I get his strategy of trying to appeal to indepedents by choosing a woman; he just chose the wrong one. Whoever vetted her should have immediately been able to identify her problems. Instead, they let Katie Couric do it
Whether or not you were, 90+% of the people who now support Trump loved her in 2008 and largely see Trump as someone who has a lot of the “qualities” she had.
McCain picked her to appeal to bible thumpers and make sure they’d turn out, which I still think overall helped McCain. If McCain’s campaign staff let him get his way and pick a Jewish Democrat (Lieberman) as his VP the evangelicals would have revolted and stayed home. Obama would have won by 15%, and the Dems might have even made a bigger dent in the senate (namely McConnell’s seat which was close in 2008).
It was a good campaign strategy picking her as the VP but it shows how much American conservatism is a grift that relies on dogma and the most supremely brain dead bible thumpers in the country to win elections.
Pretending Joe is brain dead and then listening to trump and thinking he is has escaped brain decay is amusing

Biden quotes from the Bible about Jesus and compassion constantly, even when he was VP.
but the red team is not in a compassionate mood.
oh yeah the Catholic thing too. still scares protestants.
I think if you had a list of single words and asked voters which words best describe their at ude for the country the word compassion, would not win the day
Bizarre
confused
evil
righteous
Playful
compassion
purple
Adventure
perspiration
bored
invisible
just pick some random nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
compassion loses the vote
Well there are plenty of bible thumpers who vote Democrat too (namely older black Democrats in the south) so it makes sense that Biden would try to appeal to them. This country is probably 25+ years away from having a climate where someone could openly run for president as an atheist (which is why Obama went out of his way to look Christian even though I’d be pretty confident in betting that he doesn’t believe in god).
Unlike Trump though Biden is a genuine man of faith, not like when Obama or Hillary would show up to church so they’d look more Christina. It’s not really something I like about Biden but it makes him more electable in places like central Pennsylvania, he grew up in an uneducated working class family that regularly went to church. Trump OTOH grew up in NYC and probably went to church <10 times when he was a child.
