A water pipe broke. End of the world tbh.
Texas continues to fail at basic governance.

Come on now. This hasn't to do with Texas as a whole. You're painting with a broad brush.
As California’s big cities fail to rein in their water use, rural communities are already tapped out

I seem to recall a near brush with catastrophic grid failure last year, but of course you're correct, Odessa is at fault here.
Cheap ass Odessa.
They have 60 year old pipes and do not want to pay $95 million to upgrade.
They get what the deserve.
some people did some things
LOL not having water in America.
appreciate the knock-on
Nothing can be done
Sorry...just wanted to make the point. Cities make poor decisions outside of the purview of the state government. I'm sure I can find examples in every state of some city ing up.
But it's not always an indictment on the state.
me, I thought it was the Odessa in Ukr.
The $95M was to upgrade water treatment plant. Not sure what that has to do with a broken pipe. Water mains fail in SA, too.
They need their football stadium upgrades tho
I agree
Good, keep the water for the blue parts of CA since those rural communities never GAF about global warming anyways.
IDK. From what I've read (which may not be the entire truth), the rich are using water like crazy to keep their acre lots green and their pools full.
Damn if true they should be forced to use recycled water like they do for golf courses here
nah u wanted to on Abbott with the OP
I mean...if there is a water shortage, that recycled water needs to go to where it's actually needed.
+ they can check said recycled water for COVID lineage.
Failed government. Good thing forest fires don't happen in liberal states.
What do you get from a low information poster? LIP.
All those "Water Pipes in Odessa.. called it" threads must have just zoomed by. Broken pipe same as flying planes into the WTC.
