Not as bad as Dan Majerle all-star and all-defensive teamer though
And Jordan is load management pioneer. He quit for almost 2 seasons and he wasn't even injured

I love hearing athletes complaining about 5 star hotels. Adds to the drama. Like how can Lebron be expected to perform with free room service, personal doctors/trainers, and a stable job without having to worry about a paycheck. Just imagine the narrative. This is why Lebron is the GOAT. Jordan never had to go to prison in order to play b-ball

Jordan almost made the majors as a random recruit for the White Sox in like 6 months. Kawhi sat in a NYC hotel hiding from Spurs execs making 100k a year (while he stole 18 mill from the Spurs).

MJ hiatus was pure boredom. His compe ion couldn't even take him to a game 7.... Lebron had no boredom issues as he was too busy getting outscored by Jet Terry in the finals

I heard Kiwi was hiding in a janitor's closet. Underneath the sink, and behind the mop bucket

    Knicks.

He could also destroy Spurs and Rockets in the Finals. These teams gave him some trouble in RS

    I meant in the Finals.

And I really wish he played Houston as I would have loved to see what Hakeem does vs their front line. My prediction is he gets 40/15 and still loses the series. Phil played the Spurs similarly -- let Duncan get his and don't double till the 4th to knock him off his rhythm. Clamp down on everybody else. Game, set, match.

    Knicks.

I'd of chosen different approach tbh. I'd constantly trap, double and triple team Hakeem just like Seattle did and would let his teammates to try to win the series. He's better scorer than Tim, I think it's risky to play him one on one.

But I think Seattle overall had more athletic team and was better constructed to run that scheme against Hakeem.

Hakeem is my favourite player, so I often mention him. I think that 92/93 Hakeem was the best player ever.

And if Knicks were in the West, Bulls were going to beat them in 6 or less games in 1992? Tough matchup is tough matchup no matter if it's Finals, WCF, ECSF and etc.

That’s when Spurs were a one man team and had guards like TOSB Steve Smith, Terry Porter and grocery bag man Avery Johnson. The minute they got some decent (not even good, just decent) supporting cast, they sent KoMe and DFish and Fat Shaq crying to their bitter end. The same way the same Spurs sent LeRoids and D-HGH Heatles into the dungeon

I always felt like that Seattle team was underrated. Jordan tried acting like GP was no match for him but that wasn't true. GP was frustrating him in 96 and everyone could see it.

The 93 Rockets would not have had HCA vs Chicago. But I noticed they swept Chicago that year in the regular season. Very possibly would have been a full 7 game series.

The 2001 and 2002 Spurs were constructed very similar to the 99 team. All inside-out basketball. Phil played Tim differently than Del Harris did and it worked. Once The spurs had real penetrating threats it became a different game, obviously.

GP did great job. It was also a team effort. They doubled him, cutted out driving lanes to the basket. Payton did outstanding job denying Jordan the ball in his sweet spots. MJ had to shoot tougher, lower-percentage shots from longer range.
When Jordan was receiving ball in his sweet spots, he had no problems scoring efficiently

Lakers fans are hilarious where the first line of defense for Kobe is "Look at that support, it's Mihm and Kwame", while ignoring that it was Kobe's own doing for running Shaq AND Phil out of town, and act like the Juice and Odom never existed. Then when it was Kobe 4 Duncan 2, they don't mention Shaq, MVPau, Terry Porter, Steve Smith and such.
