I probably agree with you more than anyone in this forum, but Covid19 is real... Is it as serious as it has been made out to be? No, I don't think so at all. I don't think it warrants face masks and shutdowns. In my humble opinion.

As for Trump, I totatlly agree with you in that he's very aware of what his role is. His take in March was more about pacifying his followers in that he was "not believing the hype", but now he's all in. During this pandemic, money has been made, stocks have been gobbled up by elite, hospitals have collected massive amounts of money while reducing payroll costs, the government (and Trump) have spent massive amounts of money (trillions), and the masses have accepted more control. Libs are begging for mask mandates and republicans are begging for martial law, clueless as to what that will open the doors to in the future.
