Carlisle
Bud
Quinn
you have two guesses, take your picks. when pop steps aside, who do you think will replace him?
i could see becky going to another org before pop steps down tbh, and i don't think timmy would step in or think that he's quite ready when pop steps aside.
i'll go with:
or
what say you?
if i had mentioned a third person then it would've been snyder.
I got no problem with ur picks!
After their GM pick, probably someone ty.
If I were the first woman coach, I would want to coach a team that likely will make the playoffs. That ain't the Spurs.
Wasn't Bill Self rumored to be the next coach?
We haven't been the same since HOTS left tbh...
This. I thought there was a thread here before that said Bill Self was already the handpicked successor.
it was just speculation. could happen i guess but it was just speculation.
Carlisle or Snyder
Not Bud , he got his ass handed to him by a rookie coach
He doesn't want to coach. He's just hanging out with Pop.
Ime Udoka
Becky Hammon
Outside the box pick
Thibideau
Becky is very capable but getting the head coach job of the Spurs is setting her up for failure and eventually getting fired. That is not what the NBA wants or needs. I think she will eventually be head coach but only after someone has been sacrificed as head coach to take the Spurs through a few more disastrous seasons. I think Bill Self is that guy, and when he gets fired he can easily return to college ball.
i think ime may be higher on the list than most of us think but i'd rather it not be him tbh.
I get the feeling it will be Udoka.
Considering the game is now genized, it doesn't really matter. Just build a team that can fit the one size fits all style and whoever it is will be lauded as a genius (provided they're white, of course).
Based on what, his team losing? The unethical flavor of the month that is Nurse, was so smart that it took him until his team was on the brink of elimination to do what he should have done from the jump (S bag on Antetokounmpo).
They won that series for two reasons: 1) Desperation/urgency. They had a bunch of veterans, who couldn't get over the hump for years and knew they had one chance with the iteration the Spurs handed them. 2) The Bucks were neophytes on that stage.
Kenny Atkinson is the obvious choice. Young coach, for a young team.
Udoka
