They justify him killing 180k Americans, they'd have no problem justifying him canceling the election.

At this point I’m convinced the only way we get real change in this country is with blood on the streets and rich people fearing for their lives, and millions of people getting evicted with no safety net to turn to is a big step in that direction.
I like the way you're thinking. Now get out there and cause some carnage in the deep blue districts.

Does no one here know what annualized rate means? If this quarter's rate continued for a solid year, it would be nearly 33%.
By comparison Germany's second quarter decline was 10.1% annualized at 40%. Covid sucks. It's a ty choice between ing up your economy or killing more people.

    We ed up harder.

Most countries that were hit by this pandemic are opened and for business.

Damn, we sure missed out on a competent president. This also proves that those articles about Trump letting Kasich run the country if he became his VP was just bull .

As midnightpulp already said my life is good enough to not do that, but if I was homeless I’d definitely be causing carnage.

We have 5% of the worlds population and over 20% of the world’s COVID deaths, while the countries that were hit by COVID in March/April when we were are back up and running. At this point we’ve ed up a lot more than China has, we’ve had the worst death count AND the worst / longest lasting economic impact.

And we did both since there was no post lockdown strategy other than say it's going away soon.

I think the best thing for people who "are comfortable" to do is try to educate and encourage people to vote, especially the youth. If we're going to enact real change through the voting system, the youth will have initiate it and drag older people kicking and screaming into progressivism. The problem with older populations, even those as young as mid-20s, is that when you start achieving a bit of wealth and security, change to the economic system isn't necessarily in your best interest, so you hold your nose and vote for the tax break politicians or vote for status quo "liberals." You might morally understand you should be paying more in taxes to help those less fortunate, but you start viewing that tax break as more money you can put toward junior's college fund or the vacation the wife has been wanting to take for 10 years.

Long term, progressive economic policies will indeed help the middle and upper-middle classes, but most don't want to deal with the short pain of it, I think.

We also to this day don’t have the contact tracing and testing infrastructure that Germany and South Korea had assembled in a matter of weeks. The fact we’re still waiting 7-10 days for test results should be the indictment on privatized healthcare that removes any doubt but it obviously won’t be.

    There is your difference.
