He clearly thought about running and was on the cusp, it doesn’t make sense to me why he didn’t (I only supported Bernie after Brown announced he wasn’t running). Everyone in the party seems to like him and he’s from the right part of the country, the only blemish on his record was the domestic violence allegation by his ex wife which she’s pretty much rescinded. My guess is he formed and exploratory committee and it said that there’s no point since he doesn’t have the name recognition. The more radical (and vocal) BernieBros would have complained about him but they ultimately would have liked him a lot more than Biden.
In 2016 it was down to him and Tim Kaine as VP and Hillary chose Kaine because her re ed campaign thought the election would come down to Virginia. If she picks Brown I think she wins.
i know will hunting has been high on sherrod brown for a while now, and he'd have been near the top of my power rankings if he ran, probably still behind warren and sanders, but easily better than buttigieg/biden/klobuchar, etc
