No. Assuming Spurs win, Blazers are only one game up. They just have to lose 1 of next 3 games for Spurs to pass them, if they win out.

Spurs could even lose one, but Memphis would have to lose out, and Phoenix and Blazers would have to lose 2 of 3.

If the Blazers lose today, the Spurs would control their own destiny. Portland can't tie with SA, and even though Phoenix can, the Spurs should own the tie-break over them. Memphis has to lose out, though, because even if they split and the Spurs win (and Portland loses a game), the Grizz would have a better record by like a tenth of a percent. Bull that the league didn't try something better to even out the total games played, but if all that happens and SA still doesn't get eighth, it's not like they'd be blameless.

As of right now, my twitter feed isn't showing any notifications that 76ers are resting anyone.

If Portland loses today, do Spurs at least 100% control their own destiny?

Pheonix would have the better % if they win out so they need to lose one as well.

Spurs still have to win out and Portland needs to go 1-2 in their last 3.

No. 2-1 still gets the Spurs in. They already lost one of the 2 they need to lose.

First off looks like Spurs have to win their next two or we can forget about it.

That said, I believe Phoenix winning all three of their games would put them percentage points above the Spurs.

Right now Memphis and Portland are the ones that control their own destinies by winning out. That would change to Phoenix rather than Portland if the latter loses tonight.

Go Sixers! They play both Portland/Phoenix their next 2 games. Surely Brown will do his best to get those Ws for his old friends.

Offset is correct but Phoniness also needs to lose one more then the Spurs do. Both the blazers and Suns are in front of the spurs by percentage points so they would need to lose one more game then the spurs.

Sorry, my more long winded analysis post crossed in process, LOL. Concur. This oddity is a result of all these below .500 teams being in playoff contention along with the oddity of ONLY the Spurs playing 2 fewer games than most of the other teams. As many of us have bemoaned numerous times.

I am sure I am not the only one who won't be devastated if we are left out, given the surprisingly strong showing and a youth movement showing so much promise.
