if Dallas sees it can catch Utah to avoid LAC, they will try their hardest against Phoenix too assuming they beat Portland tonight
Yup. If I did the math right, Dallas would finish with a 0.600 win% if they beat both Portland and Phoenix, while Utah would finish with a 0.597 win% if they lose to the Spurs.

If Portland loses, the Spurs just need one of Phoenix and Memphis to lose.

Memphis is loosing tonight but Spurs fate is in Mavs’ hands. If Dalla loses tonight Portland has it as they won’t lose vs Brooklyn’s bench in the last game. Implications go further as a Mavs L tonight means their last game vs Phoenix is irrelevant for them.
So if Mavs lose tonight, then Spurs are virtually out.
No issue with the Spurs missing out on the playoffs tbh. Pop's coaching pre-bubble shouldn't be rewarded with a playoff appearance tbh, regardless of how they've played in the bubble.
