The US postal system needs to die like the pony express.
Pony express was a private company that existed for a total of 18 months and was rendered obsolete by the telegraph. USPS isnt obsolete by any stretch

The Saturday Night Massacre happened almost 50 years ago and some people are acting like the term is brand new.

USPS is far from being obsolete. for everyday use they are more economical than fedex/ups. but yeah if you have a large business operation and are shipping larger packages, or need things to be hand delivered by specific deadlines, including weekends there is obviously value in paying more for a company like fedex

but for most people, the post office is still the most sensible way to get regular mailings done. if you prefer fedex or UPS, go ahead and use them. but why demand USPS be shut down for everybody else?

“The Postal Service serves no purpose for me personally, so get rid of it. I don’t care if anybody else is affected, because I’m not, and that’s all I care about.”

    The Republican Way!
there are plenty of fedex and ups locations in his zip code

the one time I had to get a package from a Fedex pickup location it was a royal pain in the ass, it's a lot easier to just drive to the nearest post office.

Republicans all the sudden want to gut the post office immediately after Trump starts talking about it.

It's not even like the post office is funded with tax revenue, it's funded by the people who use it. If you don't want to use the USPS then you're not being forced to fund it. It's at least logical when Republicans want to gut public programs to give themselves a tax cut, but that wouldn't apply here. They want to gut USPS just for the sake of being a and making people pay more with private mail carriers.

All USPS wants is to not get ed by legislation that is unique to them, because certain groups want to privatize it, because not only is a postal service necessary so they can Americans, but some of the land they currently occupy is worth a fortune.

The USPS is one of the most efficient logistics services in the world. Their mission is to deliver post and they do that almost better than anyone else. To the point that even private carriers use them for last mile delivery.
