Murray had a 4 on 1 with two teammates right by the basket and he kicks it all the way out for three. Smh. A wide-open layup or dunk is way better than even the most open three ever by Beli.

That's the second time he did it too. He had a clear lane to the basket earlier and kicked it out to Gay who hit a three. He just isn't a distributor.
Eh. I get it, because the Spurs were in great rebounding position, and the pass to Beli was probably easier to make for him on the run.

The back board is doing a good job at it.

Murray's having a terrible game so far. It's looking more and more like trying to make him a PG is a square peg/round hole situation. He could probably be a pretty good secondary slasher if he could be enough of a catch-and-shoot threat to force defenders to respect it. Having the ball in his hands a lot just isn't working well so far.

i get a chuckle every time opposing commentators mention how we are an elite FT shooting team because I don't trust a single player on our team to shoot a FT in crunch time

If Eubanks had Poetl's size, he'd be a starter in this league.

That's too far away for someone that tall to try to back a guy down.

I'm a big fan of Poeltl blocking shots after the whistle. Nothing to lose at that point.

Derrick reminds me so much of Ginobili. He does all of the intangible things that Manu used to do. Definitely my favorite player on this team.

You use height to score once you get into position. It doesn't help you get there though. There's zero point in Poe coming out like 15 to 17 feet, because he's not a threat to score there. It works with Aldridge because he can at least shot a jumper, but even then, you'd want him like 10 feet closer.

Establishing position close to the rim is part of playing in the post. Poeltl has no back to the basket game. He has to work on that. You can’t have a mismatch like that and not be able to exploit it

I like how easy we seem to get to the rim with these line ups. Not only against the rockets who don’t have a shotblocker, but I think in general we get much more easier looks with this new rotation
