The Dems have had their HEROES act passed for months

With Moscow McC recessing the Senate, the Dems negotiate with whom? Trash?

but recess until 14 Sep seems long (Labor is Sep 7),

2020 Senate "state work period" is Aug 10 - Sep 7

The Dems will have a lot to do that will need doing quickly if Biden beats Trump and the Dems take the Senate. Building legislative support now for a robust national COVID-19 strategy and relief for the people wouldn't be too soon IMO.

If the Republicans go overboard filibustering then on common sense COVID relief they need to consider going nuclear or better yet use their one shot at budget reconciliation to jam as much stuff through without needing a supermajority. Unfortunately the Manchins and Sinemas of the world aren’t going to support a nuclear option so they might not have the votes for that.

Totally agree. Roles reversed, that's what the GOP would do.

Imo you go nuclear and grant Washington DC/Puerto Rico statehood. In the late 19th century Republicans stacked the senate by granting statehood to all the bull states like North Dakota, Dems need to return the favor.
