Question is why you would pardon Russ for his. If CP3 gave Westbrook’s performance last night, would you do the same deflecting and pardoning and say at least CP3 wants the ball in the clutch? Or would you bash CP3 as usual for the airball and the turnovers?
Russ isn't the first option, nor is he billed as a top 5 player/the "greatest scorer ever," and you don't see him crying about not winning MVP every year. He shouldn't have even had the ball down the stretch. Harden should have been demanding the ball, not standing around and deferring. happens when your team is built around a choke artist who doesn't even want the ball in clutch moments.
