Another movie that's remember as a classic even though it was mediocre outside of one scene:

I liked Gary Oldman's scenes and the Brad Pitt stoner cameo.

Yeah I like some of the scenes before this one (esp. the ones with Oldman), but the movie goes to after this scene, and I think the ending was weird.

Manu's cameo is not to be missed. A performance only topped by 7 turnovers in game 6.

The scene where Brooks kills himself is the one movie scene where I don't just tear up but full blown cry no matter how many times I watch it.

There's two kinds of people: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.

    one of my favorite movie

I love the entire movie... but looking at this scene especially, no movie today would dare do this. Five minutes of characters staring each other down all effectively ended by one gunshot. The camera work, music, etc is just ridiculously good. And the viewer knows 100% that Clint's character is going to come out on top, but they still manage to build suspense.

I love those Sergio Leon western spaghettis style.. fully agree no way this movie could be made today.. 3 hours long, long scenes with silence just music. Music is obviously great. Big fan also of for fistful of dolars

    Great scene

Although I also like the interrogation scene (when Dafoe stops by Bateman's office)

And when he and Paul Allen are having dinner before he kills him - the faces Bale makes when Leto says "but then I'm gona have to kill ya" and when he tells him about his tanning bed, priceless

bale's acting in the business card scene is ing outstanding too tho... even little like the voice crack around 2:18 of the clip when he says "very nice"

That was brilliant, the way he was “gulping”

It’s attention to little details that made this a great performance

It's been said here before; but 'Old Country For Old Men' is basically the flavor of the day / random psychopath killing.
    The writing is gauche.

'American Psycho' is how some of these guys really end up; albeit the timeline is condensed for cinematic purposes.
    The writing is brilliant.

That scene is greatness son. The unbearable tension you get from watching that scene is bigger than any other thriller or terror film outthere. And they pull it off without any cheap tricks, just great writing and acting. Even the wrap up paper plays his part to perfection.
