He used it in the context of a public works project, so no, definitely not how he used it.
And with your comments, you have dashed KarrinS’ hope of ever joining derp’s super-friends.

    Oh the humanity.

The Great Depression started under Hoover (conservative) and ended under FDR (liberal). Get educated.
I am educated. That's why I know that a sh** president like FDR couldn't get the same GDP in 1933 that Americans enjoyed in 1924.

There's nobody that historically equals that inferiority. NOBODY.

He wasn't even president until March.

    What were you expecting?

He doesn't understand how budgets and policy works. 1933 would have been a year where budgets and policy were still largely controlled by Hoover.

I think Derp is one of those conservatives who think FDR became president in 1933 and somehow caused the 1929 Great Depression.

I wouldn't expect much. Two years later, GDP was still below pre-crash GDP.

I think Chumpettes are people who think govt. doesn't initiate calamities to orchestrate large-scale swindles.

In 1934, 1935 and 1936, GDP grew 10.8%, 8.9% and 12.9%, respectively, after 4 consecutive years of decline with Mr. austerity Herbert Hoover as president

How did this not stop the Depression from returning in 37 and 38 (-3.3 % GDP)?

FDR ed up and started to scale back a lot of the New Deal spending in 1937 thinking the country was ready for it.

I don't know that is funny... and it's certainly not rare either. This is one reason why rich people get richer, tbh...

Dont help the derp with facts!

Dont listen derp. FDR was antifa and he did not support the good people in Germany at the time.

I was speaking more than one person is the only thing that can possibly influence the economy of the US.
