    LaMelo Ball

    Position: PG
    Age: 19
    Height: 6-foot-8
    Weight: 180 pounds
    Draft Range: 1 to 3

Why: Very high ceiling as a playmaker. Great court vision. Elite size for his position. Strong on the boards. Fearless. Definite star potential if everything comes together.

Why Not: Inefficient in all areas of the game. Ugly form on his jumper. Not a good finisher. Has never played a serious brand of basketball. Character question marks. How long before he wants out of San Antonio?

Spurs Fit: The only way the Spurs draft him is if they believe his potential star qualities outweigh his question marks. In such a scenario, they probably allow him to start at point guard early on in his rookie campaign.

Spurs Comparison - Ceiling: A point guard version of Manu Ginobili

Spurs Comparison - Floor: Nando de Colo

What are the chances his dad would want him out of SA by the end of his rookie year?

don't think the spurs should draft him but he'll fit right in with the warriors.

Warriors will draft Wiseman if they get the number 1 pick. They need a center.

Supposedly LaMelo's teammates in Australia liked him so there's a chance that he has grown out of his character issues. It seems like Lonzo blazed a trail away from his dad's circus and he's thriving in a small market -- so, in theory, LaMelo in San Antonio might work.

On pure basketball talent, LaMelo is someone the Spurs should consider if they move up into the top 4.

He signed with the OKC g-league team this year but was waived once the pandemic happened.
