Snyder's cut gets that audience rating only because it is being compared to the original cut. All the defects that remain from the Whedon version get ignored while all the improvements get exagerately lauded. If the Snyder cut would have been the one to be released theatricaly, it would have been received just slightly better than the Whedon version. Not to mention that it would have never been 4 hours long.

I never saw the original release so I can’t compare, though I did read about the bad reactions to it. I rarely go to the movies anymore. I just wait for them to hit Blu Ray or like in this case, HBO MAX.

I mean to say he loved the Snyder Cut, not sure why I put preferred. The Snyder Cut is clearly better than the Whedon Cut, but that’s like comparing eating a pile of dog crap to eating a pile of elephant crap.
