I admit 7 shots might have been an over reaction but bad can happen when you are armed and don't do what the cops tell you to do whether you are black or white.

Official police statement makes no mention of a knife on his person, it leaves that as an open question. Pretty sure if he had a knife in his hand, police would have included that detail in their statement.
