Amazing how a sport could be so boring the players would rather throw a potato.

Throwing a potato around is more demanding than playing your professional "sport".

I had some success pitching in high school and college. Pitching in high stakes games against quality opponents was pretty cool.

Watching the faces of unmeasurable boredom of the players in the benches (doghouse is it called?) makes me question how is it possible that this sport got famous in some places. In many, many games even the players on the team don't give a about the game or the score and just want the game to be over with. There isn't a single other sport where this happens (with the exception of probably cricket. I don't know, I have zero idea about it other than it's pretty similar to baseball in many aspects). Even in the most boring ass games of soccer, NBA or NFL the bench is usually seen engaged, cheering for their teammates.

I understand baseball players though. It's impossible not to get bored watching a game that takes 4 hours to play out while getting a 1 second pitch of action at a time.

Yeah, I can totally see the fun on being a pitcher or a hitter. Hitting a baseball right on the sweet spot must be a very satisfying feeling. There's a reason baseball became a multi-millions business despite being boring for most of the players 90% of the time, tbh.

I think playing baseball if you are good and on a good team against good comp was a blast. It’s a fun game to play. Different from the quicker paced games for sure. Pitching (I often pitched) was intense.
Watching baseball is tedious and I save my watching for the rare game in the season but more often as the playoffs come to conclusion.

Extremely mental game. You will fail at the plate atleast 7 outta 10 times but need to stay patient. On defense fundamentals are critical.

Need high IQ which is why it is the sport for whites, asians and jews.

Half the players are blacks, latins or a mixture of both.

0-0 or 1-1 90-minute snoozefests with arbitrary, completely subjective "extra time" added

Do you understand the 4-6-3 double play? No? Do you understand alley oop or running play?

    Problem solved.

If DMC thinks that's some kind of high degree of difficulty concept, imagine him trying to comprehend all the different soccer formations and the several differences that can be found within each single formation. His brain would explode.
