Bend over, I'll show you a hard place.
I'm begrudgingly accepting that my worst fears are playing out. I'd hoped some team would knock out both or at least one of the LA clubs, and thought it was at least a remote possibility. But given how poorly Denver and Houston (specifically, Westbrick came out to play and House is about to get suspended) have played in crunch time, I will no longer fight reality.
It's gonna be an all LA WCF. FURK!!!!!! And unless Miami plays out of their mind, the L'Eastern Conference champ is not going to win the finals.
Thus, in my Faustian bargain, I will eagerly take the Lakers, because NEPH. Always and forever.
Bend over, I'll show you a hard place.
Lol. I forgot how many Nephers there were here.
you. One and all.
It was always likely to be that way. The only possibility otherwise (outside of injuries) was the Rockets beating the Lakers, which is still doable, though less likely with House out at least through tonight.
I have no problem going for the Lakers. These insecure divas have destroyed this league anyway, so it's no longer about the franchise, but rather which superstars/stars I can stand and whether the team is flawed enough to where it would be an accomplishment to win it.
the Lakers, always and forever. As much as I hate Nephew, that Clippers fanbase deserves some time in the sun.
It's probably better to expect it to happen now, than to be pissed off later. Kawhi will probably ring and it's gonna be ing annoying. No justice in this world.
I came in thinking this was about the covid tester, Daniul House and the other rockets players..
Lakers so confident right now, giving Horton-Tucker his first minutes in the playoffs right now.

The NBA has always been like this. how many years outside Spurs championships have had a completely satisfying result ? 2016 Cavs was the only time I can remember
Kawhi and LeBron too. Davis also quit on his old team after not doing for that franchise either. This mindset of players having to control who plays with them and leaving franchises left and right has killed this league. One of these s is gonna ring again though so it’s pointless to .
What is a Horton-Tucker? Is that a Canadian euphemism or something?
Oh, it's a basketball player no outside of his family has ever heard of.
In other news, I have a hard time seeing Doc Rivers lose to Horton-Tucker and Frank Vogel. It still hurts......
I started watching basketball in '92 so I can say the results of who wins it all have been mixed for me. I never hated the bulls championship teams. I was cool with the Rockets winning in '94 but was salty in '95 for obvious reason when they repeated. Hated seeing the Lakers win in the '00s. Hated the Warriors back to back teams in '17 and '18 but I did not hate the '15 team. I did not hate the Heat in '12 but was salty in '13 for obvious reasons.
'04 Pistons,'06 Heat,'08 Celtics,'11 Mavs,'16 Cavs were all great championship runs.
Celtics or Raptors will be champs, tbh.

I’m totally fine with the Lakers destroying the Rockets.
Lakers-Clippers will be a lot more fun than any series featuring the Rockets.
I don't have split loyalty. I want Green to finish his career with more rings than Kawhi. I definitely want LAL to come out of the West right now, but insofar as I can root for anyone, I would prefer the Heat to win. They just deserve it with their style of play, and it's cool to see Bam grow into a star in front of our eyes.
Heat or Celtics winning it all would be fine with me.
It doesn’t matter.
I was upset the year he screwed the Spurs with his leg “issues” and basically wasted fans time with his shenanigans and I hated that he wasn’t honest. I was upset with the Spurs at the horrible trade they got for him and that they got played.
but by now he would have been gone anyways. it’s time to move on...
People will be able to move on when he finally loses in the playoffs. That could happen this year or it might be a few years from now depending the way things are going. #2 is also not letting it go which is obvious by him doing load management whenever he has to play the spurs. For example if the Spurs are on a back to back he will make sure to take the first game off to rest up for the Spurs or he may take a few games off to prepare for the Spurs.
