LAL bubble favorites and rightfully so but su ious Jovik got into foul trouble and Murray got hammered whenever Denver surged - not really 8 on 5 was predestined.

Props to Jokic Murray and Grant...

Even more for Bron and AD.
Bron with a James Worthy in the 1988 Finals type performance!
You got to be kidding - James should have fouled out called fairly yet blantantly went other way NBA and LaRoid a joke

As a “Lakers is my B team” fan (not always proud of it but I admit to it, plus my team has sucked for a decade plus), most Laker fans don’t get too giddy about just getting to the Finals. It’s when they win the Finals that they start to celebrate. It’s just like the Yankees or Patriots or I’d assume how it is for Alabama football. So criticism about no one caring after them winning the Western Conference isn’t much of a criticism at all.

sure. Whatever you want to call it. I think haters are fun.

When my team was good, especially the Bad Boys, I loved the hate from whever it came from. It’s fun being hated when you win.

You playing checkers again. Let me school you on how the Lakers operate. He's not a bench warming scrub. He's a downpayment. An investment if you will.

Once upon a time 3 years ago when the Lakers were a lottery team collecting young talent to trade, KCP left Detroit Pistons under not a lot of fanfair. The Lakers gave him a huge contract NO TEAM would ever give him. Why? He was an investment. A downpayment if you will. You see, KCP is a Klutch client. Who owns Klutch? You already know.

So fast forward 2 years when Bron, Pandemic P and others were free agents. LMA laughed at us the previous year and signed with the Spurs (I bet he regrets it ). Others laughed too. The media was clowning us (I was seething, not gone lie). But Bron was sold on the Lakers plan. So, he (also a Klutch client ) signed with the Lakers - by himself. Much props to him for that. He's on his way to the Finals thru the West when you farmers told me he was in LA to retire and make Space Jam

Bron had us in 4th place in the West last year playing with young unproven talent until after we thoroughly beat the favored Dubs on National TV (then the wheels fell off).

Then something peculiar happened. Out of nowhere, AD dropped his agent and signed with Klutch. Then he unceremoniously forced his way out of Nawlins. He even had Daddy disparage Danny Ainge to ensure Boston doesn't trade for him (stroke of genius ). The rest is history

What does all this ^^ have to do with Kostas? Everything son. The way the contracts for Bron and AD are set up (and the rest of the roster too), the Lakers will have ANOTHER max slot available when the MVP/DPOY is a free agent.

His brother is already in LA and I'm sure he's telling Freak how great LA is. Much better than racist Wisconsin for a Black man

Not saying it will happen, but which if you farmers had the foresight that Bron and AD would be Lakers after all that went wrong with the Lakers since 2013? Stranger things have happened
Shameless stunt doesn't mean a thing. No decisions gonna be made based on a deep bench warmer brother.

Hope LeCoward isn't granted a "super team" though.

    If it were early 2000s...

To be fair, in the 2020 NBA style of play, the Shaq/Kobe Lakers would have their own issues with pace and defense. Imagine Shaq defending Jokic all the way out to the three point line, let alone dealing with a few dozen pick-and-rolls a game. Or when the current Lakers play small ball, how would Shaq enjoy having to sprint back in transition defense against a cherry picking Anthony Davis? Shaq would deliver his share of punishment, but you’d be naive not to believe he’d give up just as much as he’d put on them.

Shaq/Kobe Lakers would be guaranteed nothing in today’s game. Maybe make it farther than the Embiid Sixers tho.
2000 MVP version of Shaq would be alright. He actually was in the best shape of his added muscle/fat Phase of his career and was extremely motivated. He even tried harder on pnr and even played passing lanes sending a game to OT vs the Magic with a late steal and breakaway dunk off an inbounds pass. Not saying your concerns arent valid but I do think healthy motivated in shape Shaq, would be a problem on both ends... he rebounded amazing still wasnt great at pnr but better blocked shots and shut down the paint.

Got em back the next year and still went B2B. For gravy, punched em in the in 04 as a big underdog. I got no grudges tbh.

I lived in SoCal from 2000-02. So it was hard not to get a little excited about those teams. And I was a Kobe fan even before moving to LA. So that’s the deal.

My mom's family lives in SoCal and I have been there a bunch of times but I would still never root for the Lakers.

    Cool. Good for you?

Sister lives in north Chicago. I generally visit 3-4 times a year for the past decade. I’m not Cubs fan. Brother lives in Houston and I visit twice a year. Still hate Harden and Russ. So there’s that...

I lived in Southern California during the Shaq-Kobe les. I ended up enjoying those teams. Sorry?

Your sarcasm is duly noted. I have lived in NYC, Boston in the past but that didn't cause me to be a Giants fan, Celtics fan etc just because I lived in those area for a brief minute. In other words you became a bandwagon fan simply because the Pistons were not contenders during that time period.
