Jesus. That game took a few days off my life. Dodgers need to solve their closer problem. Jansen is a one trick cutter pony and Kelly has control issues. Great game, Rob. Dads will be a force for the future if the FO doesn't it up. Clevenger and Paddock are a top tier 1-2. Dads just need a 3rd ace, a quality 4th, and maybe some more middle relief depth.

This Kelly pitcher is coming unglued
He definitely was. Primed for another walk.

1st the ump bailed him out. Then Hosmer swung at pitches that were balls.
The 1-0 pitch perhaps the ump burned him.
But 1-1 Hosmer needed to let it go. 2-1 vs 1-2 changed the dynamic.
    The groundout looked another ball.

Hosmer swung at a few bad breaking balls. He really blew that at bat

To be fair, those sliders were pretty well located. It was the pitch Kelly was trying to set up throughout off the low fastball. Before that, he was throwing them in the dirt.

Braves up early. At sports bar in my Bobby Cox jersey.

I smell NLCS. I was teenager last time we got this far.

Not really. Kelly tries to get batters to chase his stuff. Around the corners but still clearly balls.
Tatis and Machado had both just successfully laid off Joes . Result? Bases loaded.
While Kellys pitches to Hosmer were better, they were still clearly off enough to walk.

Ump may have been very generous to Kelly on one pitch. The others, Hosmer could have definitely worked for a walk.

Padres just don't have the experience or the pitching to compete with the Doyers this year tbh.

Baseball is the latter that NBA use to be. My Braves were blown out in Game5 last season.

    See you at Petco?

    I'm drunk.

Braves first NLCS since I was a teenager.

Dodgers? Our postseason boogeyman. We will knock them out but I don't think we have the horses in 2020.

I think we push them to 6+ because they blow a couple leads

Honestly, if the series goes long I think it means the Doyers are in full choke-mode and the Braves take it. So far they've stayed the course though.

I could see Dodgers play small ball for a couple games. That is why Braves need to steal Game1.

In NLDS Acuna, Freeman & Ozuna struggled. If the meat of our lineup produces.

Do we have to give props to the Cheatstros batters?
All reg season long they were exposed as the cheaters they were, many of their *big bats* hitting 75 points, even 100 points lower then the Cheat years. Also their road record blew as they had to be exposed to fans giving them , rightfully so.

Now in the confines of the bubble they are tearing it up.
While beating the AA level Playoff Twins doesn't mean much, their comebacks against the A's were dynamite. Sidepoint wtf did the A's manager Melvin not play Mike Fiers? Ya ya he is the one who provided evidence against the spineless Cheatstrohs. So what? All the more reason to play him.
