Him cramming all of his personal expenses into his business as tax deductible expenses is definitely tax fraud (as are the consulting payments to his family members), my overarching point though is that his investments are not part of a strategic tax avoidance plan. He’s a ty deal maker who’s grifted 40% of this country into thinking he’s a business genius. He’s had to refi Trump Tower over and over again because it’s the only project he owns that has any equity, all of his other projects are under water.
His basically made money from 1) money he got from daddeh, 2) Trump Tower, a deal he needed his dad to help him get financing for, 3) the apprentice, 4) licensing deals because of the celebrity status created around his name from the apprentice.
Hes been good at milking his celebrity for all its worth, but he’s an atrocious real estate investor.

It became a good one after Vornado started managing it. Anyone can make a passive investment that’s managed well by one of the most highly regarded REITs in the country, people didn’t vote for him because of his passive investments in projects that were managed by REITs.

Maples wouldn’t have tax returns from over 10+ years after their divorce, and I’d be really surprised if it’s Melanie. I also think the IRS probably has his tax return data safeguarded as so not someone within the IRS either.
My money is on one of his lenders. If he’s personally guaranteeing loans it likely means there’s a loan covenant requiring him to provide his tax returns every year. Someone at Deutsche probably leaked.
