This sums it up well. The supreme court will definitely tilt a razor thin election in Trump's favor, but it's not going to turn a solid Biden victory into a Trump win. Alito and Thomas might but Gorsuch and even Kavanaugh have too much integrity for that.

In a more serious note, this state will probably hinges on the mail in ballot that arrives late so every vote counts. Trump will steal this one if Biden wins it but it is determined by the SC the late votes need to be scrapped.

(Kavanaugh also misrepresented one of his cites (Pildes), summoned Bush v Gore as a precedent, and claimed that counting votes after election day could flip the result of an election. Is there any result to flip before all the votes are counted?)
Justices like Kavanaugh hire whatever law clerks the Federalist Society sends them (that’s how someone as mediocre as Coney Barrett gets a clerkship with Scalia). Chances are his incoherent opinion was written by a MAGA clerk and Kavanaugh didn’t bother to check it or take out the political rhetoric.
