Exactly. There isn't some anti-Trump faction within the GOP. It's his party now.
Heck, a lot of the in bent GOP senators are polling behind Trump in their states (Ernst, Cunningham, McSally, McConnell and Graham to name a few). Liberals and moderates find Trump sycophants just as repulsive as they find Trump himself, the only difference is Trump s aren't as supportive of Trump sycophants as they are of Trump.

One point of reference for me is Highland Park, a wealthy community in the middle of Dallas. Historically a huge Republican stronghold. You drive through there today and the Biden signs outnumber Trump signs 10-1. There's even a house with a huge sign that says "Stop stealing our Trump signs." I know signs don't vote but it's still striking.
You put a more "palatable" Republican in that spot and I think a lot of those votes go back to Republicans. Having a candidate like Biden certainly helps minimize that effect.
Don't think you can take much away from yard signs. I remember in 2016 there were Hillary signs all over Alamo Heights.
I have similar anecdotal evidence, although I know a few lifelong conservatives that are still pro Trump.

You can't be an enthusiastic Trump voter unless you're a sociopath or a moron, so I generally avoid those types of people anyway. I'm fortunate that I'm not forced to work with them.
I don't think it's a sign of how the overall vote is going to go, but my point is that chances are a lot of those signs are in the yards of people who voted for Bush/Romney. Those are the people I'm talking about.

Most Republican friends I have say "I'm a Republican but I don't like Trump!" but they never actually say they're voting against Trump. I don't really talk to people who don't have a 4 year degree so that's likely why I don't know any staunch Trump supporters.
