Jimi Hendrix is #1 IMO, he could play 2 guitars at once, including a thrashing solo on lefty and using elbow strumming and his legs and all that. Dude was insane.
I'm talking like top 5. Just saying top 10 does not do him justice.

You won't get much argument there. He's like Ali in boxing, no sane person will dispute it, imo.
You mean someone without any knowledge of music history. Talk to me about Sluefoot Sam. I'll save you the Google. Sluefoot pretty much showed Hendrix how to play the guitar including teaching him how to play left handed so he could flip his guitar over. But Sluefoot was clean cut...didn't fit the hippie mold which is what the record companies were after. Fast forward and we hear Purple Haze, Foxy Lady, and I Shot the Sheriff. But we never hear about, Sam's cuts...Listen to the Jaybird, Monkeys on Call, or This Car Goes Places.
He hadn't done anything new in some time, it happens.
Saw their Running with the Devil tour opening for Black Sabbath.
VH put in a great show.
Poor Ozzy didn’t have a chance following VH
JH was undisputed at the time of his death. Some that followed him have their cases.
IMO, Prince is in the conversation. He held back on albums it seems; but he would go off in live shows.
