Odds just shifted from 82% to 74% Biden. Wondering what they are seeing
Why is it not 100% tbh? 100% of the ballots in Wisconsin have been cast and Biden won. 99% in Michigan and Biden is up a full percentage point.

Why do people just post random numbers and not the source of the numbers or anything else about the numbers?

in his case, it’s because he’s a liar

So the source is actually European sportsbook Betfair which obviously has its finger on the pulse of American electoral politics.

It's the same thing that happened last night. Rube bettors saw something and made a bet.

Why do you think Biden or Harris will be crushed by GOP candidate?
Because if not for COVID, we’d be talking about how Biden/Harris got crushed by Trump right now. The Dems aren’t going to get anything done the next 4 years because they don’t have a senate majority, so Biden and Harris won’t have any kind of a track record to run on as an in bent. The only way the Dems won in 2024 is with an unorthodox candidate who promises something very different from the Democratic platform of “say we’re going to do stuff then cry about it when McConnell gets in our way.”

No I can see betting sites' changing their odds.

It's meant absolutely nothing all along.

Nothing. Betting odds aren't a reflection of real world odds. Bookmakers will shift them to get an even amount on both sides. There's probably gamblers taking a cheeky flyer on Trump or betting on Trump to hedge, so it's a win/win for them in case something improbable happens.

In contrast... if Trump had won this time, any Democratic candidate with a pulse would have won in 2024, correct?
Who knows. I don’t think Democrats realize how much they’re losing working class voters. If they’re running candidates like Biden they’re not winning working class voters back no matter how bad the economy might be in 2024.

Is it the shy Trump voter the polls screwed up on or just not accounting for how much more turnout Trump would get from rural America? Probably both, but worth noting the one swing state polls seem to have gotten right was AZ, the state with only a very small rural white vote. I have no idea but I’m pretty annoyed I donated money to senate races that never had a prayer.
Same. I donated to Dems in SC and Kentucky...might as well have lit the money on fire

I was thinking DeSantis too earlier, but who do they have who would be as good manipulating the media as Trump is? Trump may be lazy and an ignoramus but he knows how to push peoples' buttons and he gets the media coverage he wants. He has been a master using the media since way before he got into politics.
I think it'd be very difficult to duplicate a Trump-type candidate - he would have to have money to back/fund all the lawsuits that Trump has thrown at him. Trump had a lot of unique marketing/management skills, background and money - doesn't have to worry about life after/future in politics.

It doesn’t matter nearly as much as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, etc., but the Associated Press is projecting that Trump has won Maine’s 2nd Congressional District and its one electoral vote. However, we at ABC News have not yet projected a winner here.
WTF? I thought Joe had that one? That one could really hurt for Joe.

msnbc after winning wisconsin: biden paths to victory when down a few, the paths to a tie when down, but i think trump's paths stayed the same. i thought that was weird.

they didn't mentioned it at all but i noticed the graphics before and after.

NE-2 could've been the tiebreaking vote to put Joe at 270, even losing GA and PA... it was projected to go to Joe last night, but if it ended up in Trump's tally, then Joe's road to the WH is more complicated.

Trump campaign vows to request recount in Wisconsin
    Trump's re-election campaign has
already said it will request a recount in Wisconsin as

Biden leads by about 20,000 votes.

It's very rare historically for an in bent to lose re-election. If Biden is alive in 2024, he'll be the candidate. Dems need to overhaul their outreach in the meantime.
