But of course, “[a] belief is not evidence” and falls far short of what is required to obtain any relief, much less the extraordinary relief Plaintiffs request. United States v. O’Connor, No. 96-2992, 1997 WL 413594, at *1 (7th Cir. 1997); see Brown v. City of Franklin, 430 F. App’x 382, 387 (6th Cir. 2011) (“Brown just submits his belief that Fox’s ‘protection’ statement actually meant “protection from retaliation. . . . An unsubstantiated belief is not evidence of pretext.”); Booker v. City of St. Louis, 309 F.3d 464, 467 (8th Cir. 2002) (“Booker’s “belief” that he was singled out for testing is not evidence that he was.”). The closest Plaintiffs get to alleging that election machines and software changed votes for President Trump to Vice President Biden in Wayne County is an amalgamation of theories, conjecture, and speculation that such alterations were possible.

Depends on what happens on the Jan 5th runoff, tbh.

A neutered Biden doesn't do much damage.

He's right, though. If the Dems don't win both GA runoffs, the Senate can block pretty much everything.

Not only that, but we may actually get some sh1t done like Stimulus, etc.

As Trump has shown, you can do plenty to up the country through executive order. Obama also used it to set up DACA.

It has it's uses. Biden won't be entirely inert.

We were all down at Margie's bar
Telling stories if we had one
Someone fired the old jukebox up
The song sure was a sad one
A teardrop rolled down Bubba's nose
From the pain the song was inflicting
And all at once he jumped to his feet
    Just like somebody kicked him

Bubba shot the juke box last night
Said it played a sad song it made him cry
Went to his truck and got a forty five
Bubba shot the juke box last night

Why won't the Senate do it now?

Why would it if Biden and a Democratic House could possibly claim credit for it?

There are competing theories whether the Democrats winning both seats is a good thing for Biden or not. Obviously, if Republicans control the Senate, Biden won’t feel the same heat from the far left to push their agenda because he can simply blame the Senate. If Dems control the Senate, Biden will feel a lot of pressure from progressives to be much more proactive turning their agenda and ideology into actual policy. And he’ll have a of a time balancing Democratic wants.

For me personally, if Republicans maintains control of the Senate and essentially neuter Biden, it won’t be the worst thing ever. And yeah, this is just for me personally. But the election wasn’t about what Biden could do to change things or what great things he could accomplish. The election was about getting that psychopath out of office. A neutered Biden who does nothing except get the pandemic in order is perfectly fine by me. Just no more Trump. That’s all that mattered to me as a voter.

classic example of votingrepublican.jpeg, McConnell has been the single biggest impedement to stimulus as he says he’s refusing to introduce any stimulus plan that doesn’t include corporate immunity for any negligence that leads to employees or customers getting COVID. The idea that keeping him as majority leader makes it so the senate can get stuff done is even more re ed than your usual take.

I have my doubts Biden has more to offer on COVID-19 than masks and vibes. I think a neutered Biden will lead to Dem losses in the midterms and a cunning, mediagenic fascist like Josh Hawley in the White House in 2024.

I think it's really important for Dems to win the Senate and go big on stimulus and healthcare. Incremental technocratic progress toward the slightly better will not prevent Trump 2.0 or worse and might even hasten it.
