It really is a cult. I could kind of understand 2016 when Trump went left of Clinton on a lot of issue (even though it was lies), and ran as a populist. But he got nearly the same level of support this election running as a hardline conservative, completely different from his 2016 campaign. So TDS is never going away on the right. It's Trump's party and will probably stay his party.
