It's because my wife delivered our daughter today.

But I did get to see ending of the game in Phoenix. Just wanted to say...

    Buffalo
    Trash Allen
    trash defense
    pathetic, putrid ass franchise
rancid, pathetic small town that will never win anything
    Tim Hortons Donuts guzzlers
    Sean McDumbass
people who thought Trash Allen was good

Winston is pure garbage. 49ers dropped 2 easy interceptions. If Brees misses time the Bucs will win the division.

The way these two teams play, this game could be over in half an hour, tbh.

This game will send the Lamar Jackson Haters into further fapping mode, but FFS he's not going to win a Bowl or even big games when he's surrounded by incompetence.

Yes the INT before halftime took a possible 3 pts away and was a turrble throw. Beyond that, yet another solid game by Jackson.

you needed to lose an NFC game for tiebreakers doe. As "good" of a loss as it gets.

A good strategy is: you never want to go 4-0 against the opposite conference unless you're a clear cut #1 (i.e. you're going 15-1 or 16-0).

Conference tiebreakers. If you're tied with a different division winner for a certain seed, and you didn't play head-to-head, the next tiebreaker is conference record, so the more losses coming from the opposite conference = the better. Conference losses are therefore worse. The same logic applies to multi-way tiebreakers, and the wild card spots.

The only exception is intra-division tiebreakers which are done by division record and then common opponents. But those cases are much rarer.

Other than the Eagles and Bengals, tiebreakers are going to be quite important, both for playoff seeds and for draft order. (For draft order, you want to lose tiebreakers, not win them.)

there is never an advantage to losing an out of conference game

you are operating in some weird reality where every time you win an out of conference game it necessarily means you will lose a corresponding conference game

no, but often the reverse is true... any given sunday factor, and more importantly the vengeance factor, because you don't see the really good teams losing 2+ games in a row.
