By your logic. Looks like Biden will end up being Genghis Kahn
or maybe my logic is that it is not necessarily indicative of authoritarianism depending on the content of the EOs
Thats not what your post implied.
Federal judge blocks Biden’s 100-day moratorium on deportations
Texas challenged the immigration policy in court
how about re-activating all the "consent decrees" with the rotten law enforcement that Jeff Sessions annulled?
temporarily, for 14 days while he considers the merits of the case
A Trump judge, of course, fellated Paxton when he blocked Biden's deportation holiday.
My guess he or above him will block Biden completely.
Not even 1 week into his presidency and already a massive loss nigs
Not looking good
Arizona sheriff rips Biden's immigration actions as 'political theater': 'Stop this madness
This is more problematic, probably illegal, but will take longer to legally unwind:
During the Trump administration’s final weeks, the Department of Homeland Security quietly signed agreements with at least four states that threaten to temporarily derail President Joe Biden’s efforts to undo his predecessor’s immigration policies.
The agreements say Arizona, Indiana, Louisiana and Texas are en led to a 180-day consultation period before executive branch policy changes take effect. The Biden administration rejects that argument on grounds that immigration is solely the federal government’s responsibility under the Cons ution.
Former President Donald Trump relied heavily on executive powers for his immigration agenda because he was unable to build enough support for his policies in Congress. Now some of his supporters say Biden is going too far in doing the same to reverse them.

It's likely illegal because States hold no veto power on federal guidelines, and it was certainly not Congress that granted that authority.
the agreement with those states likely will be held invalid imho.
but i agree that the big pendulum swings associated with the executive orders is problematic. Congress has been asleep at the wheel seemingly forever relating to immigration, though
And they love him for it. ducks
Even if held invalid, this will probably go all the way to the SCOTUS, burning considerable time and preventing an geneous federal immigration policy.
Obviously, Congress passing immigration reform would be preferable, but not holding my breath on that.

Biden Revokes Trump Abortion Policy,
Takes Steps To Shore Up Affordable Care Act
"There's nothing new that we're doing here other than
restoring the Affordable Care Act and restoring Medicaid
to the way it was before [Donald] Trump became president.
Because by fiat, he changed — made [it] more inaccessible, more expensive and more difficult for people to qualify for either of those two plans," Biden said
"I'm not initiating any new law, any new aspect of the law," Biden stated.
"This is going back to what the situation was prior to Trump's executive order."
to open a special enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act through HealthCare.gov, the federally run health insurance marketplace. The enrollment period will run Feb. 15 to May 15,
orders federal agencies to reexamine current policies that may undermine the Affordable Care Act and the health insurance exchanges created under the law.
He's also requesting a review of policies that could make it more difficult for Americans to enroll in Medicaid.
rescinding the Mexico City Policy, also known as the "global gag rule."
Biden is reversing course and directing federal agencies to reconsider those work requirement rules.
He is also asking agencies to review policies that undermined protections for people with preexisting conditions, including COVID-19 related complications.
the global gag rule,
the policy failed to reduce the rate of abortions and ultimately had the opposite effect.
The study said the rate of abortions increased by about 40% in the countries studied —
most likely because the funding ban caused a reduction in access to contraception and a consequent rise in unwanted pregnancies.
the president is telling federal agencies to review a Trump-era rule that limited the use of le X federal funds meant for family planning and reproductive health services for low-income patients.
